My story and
writing journey
When I was younger, when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up it was either Adele or a famous author. With the Adele option being out of the picture… I decided to make a compromise with my seven year old self and create this blog to share my infinite thoughts on so many IMPORTANT topics. I love writing and I always have, and its time for my words to finally be shared!
One of the wonderful things about writing for me is how I constantly evolve as I learn, grow, and interact with myself and others. I value looking back on past ideas and seeing how far I’ve come or even the new opinions I’ve formed about topics I wrote about in the past!
I have kept a personal journal everyday since I was 6 years old and have always loved the idea of expressing thoughts in prose. In elementary school I remember being so excited when I got to write fictional stories, poems, or journal prompts in class. I always went above and beyond in my writing and felt so freaking excited about every little thing I created. Through the years, I have found the same excitement in journaling. I have tens of journals filled with every schedule, frustration, victory, and defeat I’ve experienced growing up. In them you can find some of my happiest, most joyous moments, and also the moments that made life feel like it wasn’t worth living. I’ve spent time in my journal crying, laughing, and filled with gratitude and it truly is a daily anchor that pulls me together at the end of the day.
